9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Electric Motor Controls
10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. H.V.A.C
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Plant Operations (Steam)
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Instrumentation and Controls

Exam Rules

No electronic equipment is allowed in the room.
No food is allowed in the exam room.
Each multiple choice exam consists of 50 questions and 60 minutes per exam.
Passing grade is 35 correct answers out of the 50 questions.
Should you complete your exam prior to the 60 minutes, please leave the exam room quietly and return on time for the exam subject that you need to pass.
The BOMA exam is property of the J.A.C. Training Center
Materials provided for the exam may not leave the room.
You are allowed three (3) attempts to pass all five (5) sections.
Exam fee of $25 per section is due each time you take the exam.
If you return the second (2nd) or third (3rd) time to take the exam, you only retake the section(s) that you did not pass previously.


In case you did not pass all sections of the exam by the third (3rd) attempt:

You need to wait six (6) months before you can retake the exam again.
You will need to take all five (5) sections again.
You are allowed three (3) attempts to pass all five (5) sections.
